The Strip itself is a 4.2-mile section of Las Vegas Boulevard and it’s where you’ll find the biggest concentration of hotels, casinos, and resorts in Sin City. You CAN walk to the Strip from Rio, but with the group you described, it would not be something you would want to do.The shuttle would be the way to go. However, the Rio is not that much different in price from many Strip properties, so any perceived savings would be negated by the time and effort spent traveling to the Strip.

Rock in Rio USA was a music festival held in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2015. A spin-off of Rio de Janeiro 's Rock in Rio festival, it was held on two consecutive weekends in May 2015 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on the Las Vegas Strip. It shared a similar structure and format to its Brazilian counterpart, hosting at least 120 acts for its first. MGM Grand Station. How Far Is The Rio From The Las Vegas Strip

Getting Here: We’re conveniently located just off I-15 steps from the strip. However, we know that even Vegas locals have a tough time navigating the streets in our area. Choose where you’re coming from for detailed directions.

Shuttle From Rio To Strip

If you want to avoid traffic on the strip, Frank Sinatra Dr/Industrial Rd is the secret route of Vegas locals and taxi drivers. It’s an access road that runs along the 15 behind the resorts on the west side of the strip.

Simply get to Industrial (aka Sammy Davis Jr. Drive) and take it to the light at Desert Inn Road (aka Fashion Show Drive). Note that this Desert Inn Rd is different from the Desert Inn Superarterial, the main east-west thoroughfare that passes overhead above Industrial. From this intersection:

• Head WEST on Desert Inn (towards the train tracks)
• Just past the train tracks, turn left on Western Ave
• Drive straight ahead and Reef will be on your LEFT
• The parking lot is one-way, so drive past our front door and then turn left into the lot, and double back to park. You’ve arrived!

Rio Las Vegas Map On Strips

• Take the Spring Mountain Road exit
• Bear right towards Spring Mountain Road West, then stay to the right for Highland Drive
• At the stoplight, turn right onto Western Ave and you can’t miss Reef.

• Exit Spring Mountain Road East
• Quickly merge left across Spring Mountain Road and prepare to turn left
• Turn left at the first light on Mel Torme Way
• Turn right on Sammy Davis Jr Drive
• Turn left at the first stop light to West Desert Inn Rd
• Just past the train tracks, turn left on Western Ave
• Drive straight ahead and Reef will be on your LEFT
